It’s happening right now. As we speak the FBI is currently soliciting evidence from local law enforcement agencies about how many investigations have been hindered by encryption in order to make the argument for regulation in the name of national security.

So Google is using AI to scan all your data and report it to the feds, Recorded Future is determining what you are going to do and reporting it to the feds.

What are the feds doing? They are using the manpower freed up by the technology firms to infiltrate your private chats.

A Washington Post analysis of the Snowden leak found some 90% of those being monitored were ordinary Americans "caught in a net the National Security Agency had cast for somebody else".
Top officials had until then denied - and even lied under oath to Congress - that they were knowingly collecting such data.
The programme, known as Prism, was later ruled unlawful by a US court.

Some of these surveillance programs, including a secret program called PRISM, capture the private data of citizens who are not suspected of any connection to terrorism or any wrongdoing.
In June of 2013 a private contractor working for Booz Allen Hamilton leaked classified presentation slides that detailed the existence and the operations of PRISM: a mechanism that allows the government to collect user data from companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, Yahoo, and others.
