This is SO amazing! Thank you so much for this. Our base is sending out forms for our sailors unable to go home for the holidays for special holiday meals.

Best way to help military is to reach out to their Family Readiness Group, if they have one. Not sure how its done in other branches but in the Navy, every command has one. Non-profit organization that does the same kind of thing that is being promoted here. Single sailor gift bags, Holiday meals and goodies. Half way boxes with treats and goodies. These groups are promote their commands on Facebook. If you want to help your own local sailors or other branches...best way is to look up the base group page, follow their email link and request information on how to donate funds to different commands.

For our Navy...its also helpful to look up "Fleet and Family" on Facebook. They are a group that helps out with families while their sailors are out to sea. "Navy Marine Corp Relief Society" and our wonderful "USO" also work hand in glove with providing resources for both sailors and families. Its a really good time for Christmas goodies for our military as all the commands use these months to organize. Normally I wouldn't plug for our military too much but with the gubmint shut temporarily handled...the deadline for the next cliffs edge is in 41 days...so I know our military can use as much help as they can get!
