50 US military transport planes flew into the Middle East in the last 24 hours.

The U.S. military is flying MQ-9 Reapers over the Gaza Strip, operated by U.S. Special Operations forces, according to an NYT report.

They were first spotted on Saturday on Flightradar24.

The officials said the drones were being used to aid in hostage recovery efforts, indicating that the U.S. is more involved than previously known.
