Special counsel Jack Smith's team has asked the court to deny President Donald Trump's request to halt all proceedings in the Jan. 6 case pending their appeal of District Judge Tanya Chutkan's presidential immunity order and urged the judge to do all she can to make sure the March 4 trial date isn't delayed.

"During the pendency of the appeal, any number of matters could arise in this case that are not involved in the appeal; the Court should not enter an order preventing it from handling them. Furthermore, the Court should maintain the March 4 trial date," the special counsel states in a filing from the weekend.

Putin unveils two new nuclear submarines

Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday promised to reinforce Russia’s “military-naval might” as he attended the inauguration of two nuclear submarines in the country’s Far North.

The Russian leader took part in a flag-hoisting ceremony in Severodvinsk on the White Sea where the “Krasnoyarsk” and “Emperor Alexander III” were built over the past six years.

“With such ships and such weapons, Russia will feel that it is safe,” Putin told navy officers, while visiting one of the submarines in the frozen Arctic waters.

Industry leader warns of global gunpowder shortage

A scarcity of global gunpowder supplies could trigger a substantial increase in ammunition prices, US company Vista Outdoor has warned, according to a Newsweek report.

The Minnesota-based firm, which owns several firearms businesses, told the magazine last week that it would go ahead with an across-the-board increase of its ammunition and gunpowder prices on January 1.

Here’s what she said about the deleted texts. Does she seem trustworthy?
Also, her transcribed interview with J6 committee has never been made public. It’s unclear whether her interview is one of several that DHS (which houses Secret Service) is withholding from Congress.
