Anyone Read That Insurrectionist Laws? I did a Lil research just to be sure......
"The provision was enforced vigorously during Reconstruction, in part through civil actions brought against ineligible officials under Section 14 of the First Ku Klux Klan Act. In 1872, though, Congress granted amnesty to most of the men covered by Section Three in the hope that this would reconcile Southern whites to the rest of the Fourteenth Amendment. This hope was misplaced, and Section Three soon sank from view."

Julian Assange's 'final' appeal against U.S. extradition to be held in February
LONDON (Reuters) - WikiLeaks' founder Julian Assange's possible final legal challenge to stop his extradition from Britain to the United States where he is wanted on criminal charges will be held at London's High Court in February, his supporters said on Tuesday.
Assange, 52, is wanted by U.S. authorities on 18 counts, including one under a spying act, relating to WikiLeaks' release of vast troves of confidential U.S. military records and diplomatic cables which Washington said had put lives in danger.

Federal law enforcement officials announced Tuesday they had taken down the online infrastructure belonging to the BlackCat ransomware gang and offered victims a decryption key.
Why it matters: The takedown disrupts the operations of what the Justice Department believes is the "second most prolific ransomware-as-a-service variant" circulating around the world right now.
The big picture: BlackCat, also known as ALPHV or Noberus, is estimated to have targeted more than 1,000 victims since its inception more than 18 months ago, according to the DOJ.
