For those not familiar, Alex Saab is a Columbian-born Swamp Creature who, in addition to embezzling money for himself from various humanitarian programs, laundering money, and trafficking narcotics, also served as Maduro's financial fixer and liaison to the regime in Iran.

He also has a connection to Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS...

Trump's DOJ indicted Saab and another person, Alvaro Pulido Vargas, in July 2019. There is a $10 million reward offer for Vargas.

The Biden Administration successfully extradited Saab to the U.S. in October 2021.

The story of how the U.S. managed to apprehend Saab is quite interesting. It involves a jet needing fuel, a tiny island nation, a U.S. Navy cruiser, and Acting SecDef Miller.

I wrote about Saab's case shortly after he was extradited and my primary point was that the Swamp Draining that Trump promised to do and had begun doing during his first term had continued into the Biden Administration.
