There were at least 1,000 gallons propane tanks that were knocked over, that were used to heat the switches, and they were leaking and they was turned off.

No train cars were hauling any hazardous waste materials on board, as these train cars were auto transport train cars, and also no threat to the area so no evacuation was needed. One of the train cars laying on the tanks was removed that landed on the tank as the safety derailment crews worked safely to remove it.
