Great job by Officers Bay and Ortega of the League City Police Department, Texas.

They were notified by concerned citizens about a mama duck losing her 11 ducklings in a storm drain. When the officers first checked for them, they noticed the ducklings were no longer near the storm grate but further in the drain. Mama duck assisted the officers by calling her ducklings back to the opening. Once back at the opening Officer Ortega closed off their access to the drain, and Officer Bay jumped into action. Officer Bay “ducked” down in the hole and was able to rescue the 11 ducklings, who were then reunited with their mama. Mama duck quickly gathered them all together, and they all waddled their way back home.
