In 2009, a federal court ruled that roadblocks in a dangerous DC neighborhood were unconstitutional.
 
Washington Post: A federal appeals court ruled yesterday that checkpoints set up by District police in neighborhoods beset by violence are unconstitutional, effectively ending a crime-fighting tactic that officials say was used in only the most dire circumstances to protect residents.
In a strongly worded opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit condemned the roadblocks, which police used last summer in the city's Trinidad neighborhood in Northeast Washington. The checkpoints, which have not been used in about a year, were a response to a spate of shootings, including a triple homicide.
"It cannot be gainsaid that citizens have a right to drive upon the public streets of the District of Columbia or any other city absent a constitutionally sound reason for limiting their access," Chief Judge David B. Sentelle wrote for a three-judge panel. "It is apparent that appellants' constitutional rights are violated."

If you are in the DC or Hagerstown, MD area please come support the volunteers who have been making the People’s Convoy possible. We could use volunteers to help with firewood, kitchen relief and general support.  
 
If you are not in the DC area, start organizing in your home states and rally to convoy to your state capitals while we continue to work with members of congress and elected officials to end the state of emergency on a federal level.

It was an honor to fly @ChrystalWV grandfather’s burial flag. He was a veteran in WWII, actually operated a landing craft on D Day. When the war was over, he drove a truck for 40 years for Kroger. I wanted to retire the colors with all the honor we could muster, and our amazing drivers did an awesome job with that. Instead of a 21 gun salute, we lined up 3 trucks on either side of mine and did a 21 horn salute. I hope he feels the love and honor that we feel for him in his peaceful rest. Thank you Chrystal, for this amazing honor. I love you sweetie. You are amazing.
