My devotional today reminds that the Lord is always present with us:

“‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’” —Revelation 1:8 (NIV)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)

“In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.” —Psalm 102:25-27 (NIV)

“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” —Psalm 48:14 (NIV)

How we choose to spend our lives in God’s presence is a gift we can enjoy or squander. He knows when we show kindness and love, indifference, vindictiveness and hate, and everything in between.

He sees it all and Jesus Christ will be the judge of our conduct upon his return.

Lord, I know you are there. Teach me your ways. Help me to hear your voice and feel your promptings. Thank you for all you provide; it gives me so much joy. Keep me safe and at peace. Amen
