Father God,

We come before You right now in humility and faith, lifting up every family, every home, every community in the path of this winter storm. You see the heartland of our nation, the places where people live quietly, work faithfully, raise their children, and call on Your name. We ask for Your mercy to surround them.

Lord, we pray for protection. We ask You to place Your hand over homes, roads, power systems, first responders, and all those who must travel or work in dangerous conditions. Be a shield around every household. Preserve life. Prevent accidents. Minimize damage. Let wisdom rest on officials, utility workers, and emergency teams as they prepare and respond.

In the name of Jesus, we speak peace over the winds, the cold, and the chaos. We ask that this storm be weakened, redirected, and restrained according to Your will. And Father, if there are any wicked plans, whether seen or unseen, natural or manmade, we ask that they be exposed and canceled right now in the authority of Jesus Christ. Let no scheme prosper. Let no harm advance.

Cover the vulnerable, the elderly, the poor, and those without shelter. Provide warmth where there is cold, provision where there is lack, and comfort where there is fear. Let Your angels be dispatched to guard and protect throughout the night and the days ahead.

We trust You, Lord. You are our refuge and our strong tower. We place this nation, especially its heartland, into Your hands, believing for safety, mercy, and peace.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray.

Statement by DHS

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here. 

The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.

Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement. 
 
About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.
