I had a convo with an auzzi buddy of mine and asked him why patriotic shit doesn’t really exist for other countries.

He told me that was because we fought for our freedom to EXIST and still after 200 years, that means something… other countries have either been around since time began or they were just given them.

He also said that’s why we are so easy to strip the freedoms we have come to enjoy away from ourselves. It’s because after we fought the worlds super power to gain our freedom, we quickly became a global super power shortly thereafter, have maintained it for the entire time, then solidified after WWII…..

That’s also why we haven’t won a war since then… we got too comfortable… too soft… that’s why even conservatives, republicans, and evangelicals don’t actually take too many things too seriously. Why should they? They’re Americans. They’ll be fine… until it’s too late… and they’re not anymore…
