🔹 Italy 🇮🇹 : Farmers join their Dutch counterparts 🚜 and are protesting 🔥due to their outrage over new EU regulations that will force them to reduce their nitrogen fertiliser compounds, leading to a reduced number of their livestock, 🐄 ultimately causing bankruptcy in family-owned businesses.

🔹Italian 🇮🇹 farmers have already been under pressure due to the worse drought conditions in 70 years ☀️ in northern Italy, with a state of emergency declared.

🔹Andrey Melnichenko, founder of chemical giant EuroChem has claimed “The EU 🇪🇺sanctions mean suffering, famine and migration flows for many hundreds of millions of people,”. Suffering people will want to hold those responsible accountable, and the EU won’t be able to shift its culpability, the businessman added. It was not Russia 🇷🇺 or the US 🇺🇸, but EU 🇪🇺member states, which chose to disrupt the operation of his chemical empire with sanctions.

🔹EuroChem, a leading fertilizer producer, is headquartered in Switzerland 🇨🇭, where Melnichenko also lives with his family. The EU and Switzerland targeted the company and its owner with sanctions aimed at hurting the Russian economy. Melnichenko argued he personally was unjustly punished for being a rich Russian, dismissing claims that he had any influence on the Russian government.

🔹The Indian central bank's decision to let importers 🚢 pay with rupees and exporters be paid in rupees is likely to make trade easier with Russia 🇷🇺 and South Asian neighbours, and will help a long term goal to internationalise the currency

🔹Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Turkey 🇹🇷, and Egypt 🇪🇬 plan to join BRICS+, and their potential membership bids could be discussed and answered at next year’s summit in South Africa. Last month the Islamic Republic of Iran 🇮🇷 and Argentina 🇦🇷 officially submitted its application to join the group.

🔹China’s 🇨🇳 foreign trade with other BRICS member states amounted to 1.64 trillion yuan ($244 billion) in the first half of the year, up 14.1% in annual terms. the value of exports reached 817.18 billion yuan ($121 billion), jumping 20.6%. The value of imports was also up, by 8.3% to 825.82 billion yuan (around $123 billion).

🔹The BRICS+ nations (Brazil 🇧🇷, Russia 🇷🇺 , India 🇮🇳 , China 🇨🇳 , and South Africa🇿🇦) account for over 40% of the global population and nearly a quarter of the world’s GDP. The multipolar world is being formed with the BRICS+, EAEU & ASEAN.

🔹A number of factors, including the heat and drought conditions in 🇺🇸 East Texas, are forcing ranchers to sell-off cattle🐂. They say relief will come only in the form of rain, and plenty of it. 🔹After Canada's 🇨🇦exemption to allow Germany's 🇩🇪Siemens to return a gas turbine from Canada to Gazprom for use in Nordstream1 and amid the oppostion to the exemption by Zelensky 🇺🇦, an issue arises.

🔹All the western media has published thus far is propaganda on Gazprom's statement (photo). Siemens has no response to any media.

🔹Siemens Germany is contracted and responsible for the safe return of the turbine to Gazprom. What I gather from the statement is despite the exemption to the sanctions, there are now other permits, customs & excise and transport logistics documents under delays due to the west cutting business ties with 🇷🇺Russia. This may not guarantee the return of the turbine on time. Gazprom has 6 more days of planned maintenance with Nordstream1 shut-down. Gazprom is doing due diligence on it's contractual obligations and informing parties about this, because if they don't resume gas to Germany the west will claim 'energy blackmail' by Russia and breach of contract.

🔹Farmer-led protests in Germany 🇩🇪, Italy 🇮🇹 , Spain 🇪🇸 and Poland 🇵🇱have increased and is spreading. German farmers blockaded roads on the border with the Netherlands and gathered in large numbers to protest near the city of Heerenburg. 🔹Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 doubles second-quarter Russian fuel oil imports for power generation. Saudi Arabia imported 647,000 tonnes (48,000 barrels per day) of fuel oil from Russia via Russian and Estonian 🇪🇪 ports in April-June this year. That was up from 320,000 tonnes in the same period a year ago.

🔹Russian🇷🇺-origin fuel oil cargoes 🚢 through Egypt and Estonia boosted imports. Saudi fuel imports from Egypt 🇪🇬 spiked to a record 110,000 bpd in June as Egypt's imports of Russian fuel oil jumped to a record 70,000 bpd in the same month.
