We want to share an update regarding our work on TPP A15. As we progress beyond the Android 15 QPR update, we understand your anticipation for visible improvements in the project. To ensure a smoother and more efficient development process, we are introducing a structured approach that focuses on the core aspects of TPP before branching out to additional elements. Here are the key steps for our development plant:-
Streamlined Source Manifest:
We will construct a source manifest based on the Android 15 r9 tag. This serves as the foundation for our future updates.
Leverage Existing Repositories:
Most repositories will be sourced from LineageOS, enabling us to build upon a stable and well-supported codebase.
Minimal Google Mobile Services (GMS) Implementation:
Our focus will be on incorporating a lightweight GMS setup, ensuring compatibility while maintaining minimalism.
AOSP-Centric Structure:
We will prioritize keeping everything aligned with AOSP conventions. Instead of directly rebranding for TPP, we’ll adopt a neutral structure with AOSP-centric approach.
Deferred Design and Infrastructure Enhancements:
For now, design elements, the official website, and CI/CD workflows will take a backseat as we focus on building a robust core system.

We ran into delays, but we never stopped working, and today, we’re finally here with some big news: The Pixel Project, based on Android 15, is ready! 🎉
Now, let’s get straight to the point: we’re not just here to announce progress! we’re here to start fresh and go big. That’s why we’re officially opening applications for new maintainers!
We’ve made major changes to our recruitment process to give more candidates a higher chance at joining the team. If you’ve ever wanted to contribute, now is the best time to apply! Check out the requirements and submit your application HERE!
Once our new team is ready, we’ll follow up with another post to announce the official release of The Pixel Project Android 15.
