My perspective on the recent discourse around Pakistan and Israel:
Pakistan’s official position has long been clear: we will not recognise Israel until the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people are secured, with a sovereign, independent state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.
While I respect this as the state’s diplomatic line, I personally believe that this framework falls short of true justice. The reality of Israel’s expansionism, apartheid policies, and ongoing occupation has already rendered the two-state solution unworkable. Partitioning historic Palestine into fragments under perpetual siege does not represent freedom.
I believe in a single, democratic state of Palestine, stretching from the river to the sea, where all people live with equal rights, dignity, and justice. Only through the dismantling of settler colonial structures and the restoration of Palestinian sovereignty across the entirety of their homeland can there be a just and lasting peace.
Israel, in my view, is a rogue entity, sustained by occupation and dispossession. Normalisation with such a state is not only unjust but immoral. Any attempt to steer Pakistan toward frameworks like the Trump-era “Peace Plan” or the Abraham Accords would be a betrayal of our principles and our history of solidarity.
Such a policy shift would ignite immense unrest within Pakistan, uniting people across the political spectrum in fierce resistance. At a time when our nation faces profound challenges, aligning with the oppressor rather than the oppressed would destabilise our society and erode our moral compass.
Our solidarity with Palestine is not merely political; it is part of who we are as a nation. To abandon it would be to abandon our conscience.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister challenged the IAF to an open investigation to verify the number of aircraft lost by both sides, following the IAF Chief’s claim of 13 kills.
In reference to this, Pakistan had conducted a similar open investigation during the 2019 Balakot skirmish, when it allowed foreign observers and media to inspect the strike sites and effectively proved the doubters wrong.

We can agree to disagree, but Shahbaz Sharif has been on a remarkable diplomatic run this year. The name “Pakistan” has probably reached every corner of the world.
Just look at the protocol on his arrival in Malaysia for his 3-day visit, a true reflection of the respect Pakistan is receiving globally.

The much needed and requested AIM-120D AMRAAMs have been cleared for Pakistan!
It is one of the most advanced beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile in the world, featuring a range exceeding 160 km (100 miles), GPS-assisted inertial navigation for mid-course guidance, two-way data links for real-time target updates, enhanced electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM), and a high-explosive warhead with improved lethality.
This “fire-and-forget” beast will supercharge the Pakistan Air Force’s F-16 Block 52 fleet, giving PAF unmatched superiority in contested airspace, especially against regional threats.
This development also signals a potential strengthening of US-Pakistan defence cooperation, as Islamabad seeks to maintain balanced ties with major powers.

🚨 🇵🇰 Pakistan’s Economy Shows Signs of Revival
Pakistan has emerged as one of the most improved economies globally in terms of sovereign default risk, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
Key highlights:
✅ Default Risk Down: Sovereign default probability dropped from ~59 % to ~47 % over the past year — the sharpest decline among emerging markets.
✅ Growth Target Raised: Government aims for 4.2 % GDP growth in the upcoming fiscal year (up from ~2.7 %) as reforms take hold.
✅ Policy Moves: Central Bank kept interest rates steady after earlier cuts, supporting demand while inflation remains under control.
✅ Fiscal Discipline: A “no-frills” budget focuses on tax reforms and deficit control to stay in line with IMF commitments.
⚠️ Structural Risks Remain: Political instability, governance issues, and energy sector challenges could still weigh on long-term growth.
✍️ Bloomberg analysts say sentiment is improving, but sustained reforms and stability are crucial to keep this momentum going.

🚨🇵🇰🤝🇸🇦 Pakistan Courts Saudi Investment After Strategic Defence Pact
Following the recently signed Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Islamabad is now looking to convert security cooperation into economic dividends.
A high-level Saudi business delegation is expected to visit Pakistan this week, with talks focused on attracting up to $1 billion in investment across key sectors including energy, mining, infrastructure, and possibly defence manufacturing.
This move signals Islamabad’s push to deepen its economic ties with Riyadh following their upgraded defence partnership. For Pakistan, facing fiscal stress and ongoing IMF obligations, foreign investment is crucial to stabilising reserves and boosting growth.
