Good Monday morning everyone!
It’s the final day of opinions, which means unlike the other opinion days, we know what cases will be released this morning. Although the order of the releases is not predetermined and merely a guess, we will find out between 10amET-11amET (depending on how long it takes to read the opinions and possible dissents from the bench) on how the Court rules on Presidential Immunity. On Friday, the court issued a decision on Fischer v. United States, which did a major blow to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team regarding hundreds of January 6 prosecutions.
Stay tuned at 10amET and remember, as soon as the opinion is available on the website, it’ll be sent here immediately.

We are not a political channel, never will be, we report on Supreme Court affairs only, but we feel morally obligated to say this: political violence is not acceptable and should never be tolerated. Our thoughts and prayers are with Former President Trump.

BREAKING: Supreme Court rejects Missouri Attorney General’s request to halt the criminal sentencing of Former President Trump, scheduled for next month. Missouri sued the state of New York under original jurisdiction to pause the sentencing and the gag order imposed during the Manhattan trial. Justice Thomas and Justice Alito would grant the request for leave, but no other relief.

BREAKING: In what appears to be a 5-4 per curiam opinion, the Supreme Court has REJECTED President Biden’s request to restore his Title IX rule, which would’ve expanded sex discrimination to include sexual orientation and gender identity, while the appeals process continues. Justice Sotomayor filed a dissenting opinion, in which Justice Kagan, Justice Gorsuch, and Justice Jackson joined.

NEW: The Supreme Court is scheduled to have their “long conference” September 30, exactly one week before the term officially kicks off.
In case you’re wondering, the long conference is given its name because of how much workload is usually associated with it. During this conference, the justices discuss petitions that have piled up over the summer recess, mainly the non emergency ones. The order list resulting from today’s conference will be released at 9:30amET Monday October 7.
