“There is one last hearing on the 22nd, if that doesn't go well, it is the military's job to prevent a fraudulent attack on our democracy and constitution” - @Jqnah
Japanese warriors often inscribed the number 4 on their weapons. This is because there are two words for 4: "she" and "yan". "Yan" was used mostly in peacetime situations, while "she" not only meant the number 4 but also is the word for "death".
Warriors wanted to train with death constantly on their minds, and so their weapons and armor had runes of death and power, and they ritualized the symbolism through movements that have been preserved in martial arts to this day.
While 4 signifies death, 8 signifies enlightenment. So, in martial arts, movements typically go 4 in one direction, and 4 in the opposite direction, making a full circle.
Within 4 days from now, we will come to know death in some form, and within 4 days from then will come to know enlightenment in some form.
We have more than we know - more time than we know what to do with. I suggest less worrying and more compassion for those around you. Hug a loved one. Say hi to a stranger. Offer an olive branch to a political opponent. Be a beacon of light in the darkness. Be the change you want to see in the world. And if something significant should happen, use the tools already in your possession to navigate to the next moment in time.
