🇵🇸 The Palestinian Ministry of Health earlier this morning in #Gaza has released a statement claiming that the healthcare system within Gaza, #Palestine, is only “hours away” from a complete collapse due to a supreme lack of fuel needed to run the generators the hospitals are running on.

The collapse comes just a few days after #Israel seized the #Rafah border crossing, the primary entry point of aid into Gaza (including fuel trucks), which has closed the crossing to all aid.

The same day Israel seized the crossing, May 7th, yet another of Gaza’s hospitals, the Abu Youssef al-Najjar hospital, shut down as patients and staff were forced to evacuate due to Israeli operations beginning in Rafah.

The shut down of al-Najjar left just 11 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals partially functioning, with none fully functioning. The severance of aid appears to be about to diminish that number even further. Via theatlasnews.co

Situation not looking good for Iranian President Raisi:

- State media putting out and then retracting several contradictory claims of him being unharmed

- Rescuers have yet to reach crash site due to mountainous terrain and poor weather conditions

- Iranian state media calling on Iranians to pray for Raisi’s health

^context if you haven’t heard or seen: His helicopter went down the the mountains of East Azerbaijan province amid low visibility and poor weather conditions

Tasnim News Agency reporting that the crash site has been found, we should know about Raisi’s condition shortly

Looks like ground crews have yet to reach the crash site. Helicopters involved in search efforts grounded due to weather and viability issues.

Night time and dropping temperatures approaching.

Even if Raisi and those on board survived the initial “hard landing,” they will be in for a long and dangerous night if not located

Iran state media has been in a contradictory whirl since the crash.

The Helicopter President Raisi was traveling in was a Bell 212* according to photos taken at his departure from Azerbaijan

Whether President Raisi is alive or not, he has been missing for over 5 hours.

With this, duties have likely been transferred to First VP Mohammad Mokhber.

Every time one Iran state media outlet says the crash site has been located, another denies it.

Been like this since the crash was first reported.

Probably won’t post an update until they officially announce he is dead or alive.
