🇳🇱 🇺🇦 #Netherlands Sends F-16s to #Ukraine, Sorties Flown Already Reportedly:

The F-16 fighter jets that were earlier reported to have been delivered to Ukraine for the first time were purportedly revealed to have been from the Netherlands. theatlasnews.co @AtlasNewsTelegram

The Times, a British media outlet, reported that a source told them that six jets had been sent from the Netherlands to Ukraine and that more were to come from #Denmark. Another British media source, The Telegraph, later reported that some of the jets had already flown in a "air defense" capacity and that a Ukrainian air force official did not deny this.

Ukraine is expected to receive 20 of the jets over the next year or so, enough to form a sole squadron, after U.S. President Joe Biden rescinded his protest against the U.S.-made aircraft being sent. Jets will be sent from #Belgium and #Norway as well. A total of 80 have been pledged over a longer time frame.

A photo passed around by Ukrainian media outlets appears to be the first visual alleged sighting of the plane's presence in Ukraine. Ukraine's air force did not confirm or comment on the image. However, several other photos being passed around claiming to show the plane over Lviv appear to have been digitally faked.

NYT, citing Iranian, regional, and American security officials, reports that Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed by an internally planted explosive device at an IRGC guesthouse in Tehran.

This has not been confirmed by Iran. Israel still has not commented on the assassination at all.

There is still some speculation that the blast was caused by an ATGM strike.

They also claim the device was planted months ago, which if true, suggests a significant infiltration into Iran’s domestic security apparatus.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has said that the “battle with Israel has entered a new phase” during the funeral of military commander Fuad Shukr. He has also made reference to an Iranian retaliation and that a response will be done on “all support fronts” (i.e. Axis of Resistance)

Hezbollah has started to launch rockets towards northern Israel.

This is to be considered part of their routine strike operations and is not the anticipated response to the killing of Shukr or Haniyah.

A lot of messaging coming from Iranian state media and official accounts over the past few hours that the response will be soon.

Could be tonight.

The missile barrage by Iran back in April was on a Saturday.

Only time will tell.

Let’s also keep in mind it took Iran two weeks to prepare for its barrage back in April. Granted strike capabilities have likely been prepositioned since then.

Channel 12 claiming Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was the target of a large-scale Isreali airstrike operation in Beirut, which the IDF claims was against Hezbollahs central HQ.

With the whirlwind of claims and rumors about the status of Nasrallah, I will not post anything until there is an official statement by Hezbollah and IDF.

I will just put out there tho that regional media claims about Nasrallah’a status, citing Hezbollah and Iranian sources, doesn’t really mean much.

Following the deaths of Soleimani, Raisi, Haniyeh, and essentially every Hezbollah commander over the past several weeks, there were a significant amount of claims that they were still alive.

So it’s important to just wait it out.

On the flip side, this is (obviously) fake.

Regardless if Nasrallah was killed or not, the strike targeted Hezbollah’s underground central headquarters, which signifies a substantial intelligence operation and will likely have significant impacts on Hezbollah operational capacity moving forward.

Likewise, the strikes have leveled at least two apartment complexes and casualties remain largely unknown.

The damage is significant and it will likely days to get a better understanding of the strikes’ outcome considering the main target was underground, unless Hezbollah makes an announcement.

With the strike targeting the central headquarters, we may also expect to see casualties related to Hezbollah religious and political leaders as well.

There might also be IRGC-related casualties as well.

Netanyahu has left the UN General Assembly in NYC several days early following the strike. Retaliation by Hezbollah is almost certain, however, I wonder if Iran will get involved after nearly two months of saber rattling.
