Now we can’t see shit like this
Writing up a long form piece right now for the website about the anti-loitering munition cages Russia put on its tanks. These were supposed to be a lesson learned from the 2020 Nagorno Karabakh war with how Azeri loitering munitions wreaked havoc on Armenian armor. Problem is this conflict hasn’t seen any loitering munitions and ATGMs haven’t been slowed down by them.
In the past two years there have been two wars between conventional militaries. Armenia v. Azerbaijan in 2020 and now Russia v. Ukraine in 2022.
Could even be argued Taliban v. Afghanistan in 2021 because at many times the Taliban operated like a conventional military.

Mayor of Energodar has denied claims by Ukrainian media that Russian forces have left the city/ been pushed out of the city.

Also a heads up: I won’t be posting much on Wednesday because I am getting my wisdom teeth removed. Any suggestions on making it not suck afterwards.
A few weeks before the invasion I saw a good amount of videos on Twitter of AN-2 biplanes flying around Crimea. My first thought was that they were possibly converting them into drones like Azerbaijan did in the 2020 NK war to draw out anti-air. But nothing ever came or it. Considering the amount of anti-air defenses in Ukraine currently, it wouldn’t be too bad of an idea because the past several days have seen some extensive aircraft losses by Russia to to SAMs and MANPADs.

Bit surprised by the lack of loitering munitions in this conflict, especially since their effectiveness was shown in Nagorno-Karabakh. Russia has its own LM systems such as the Zala Lancet, but none have been used. I also expected the US would send some switchblades to Ukraine as well.

Maxar is reporting that the 40km long Russian convoy outside Kyiv has largely dispersed or redeployed elsewhere. It has been stalled for days. All that equipment remains in the area, they just aren’t in a long convoy sitting doing nothing
Pro-Iranian sources claiming a “top secret Mossad spy base” hidden under the American consulate was destroyed. Make whatever you want from that lol.
The Kurdistan Health Ministry also reports no casualties at this time.

Keep in mind Israel carried out airstrikes in Damascus, Syria, recently that killed a few Iranian troops. Iranian backed militias have attacked American targets in Iraq in response to Israeli strikes before, so that may be a reason why they are going with the Mossad narrative.
5 Centimeters per Second x Soleimani’s revenge… I think the propaganda/ shit post machine broke after this attack
Was just informed that March 11 was Qassem Soleimani’s birthday so that may also have a role in this
