Authorities were initially dispatched to the home after the suspect threatened his mother with a knife, where he later fired at responding officers with a rifle.
According to MSP, the dog, which was operated by a MSP bomb squad member, was deployed to “safely gather crucial intelligence and provide situational awareness of the suspect and the home’s interior.”
While in the basement, the dog located the suspect, who then knocked it over and began going up the stairs to the ground floor. The dog was able to right itself and “when the suspect realized, with apparent surprise, that Roscoe was behind him on the stairs, he again knocked the robot over and then raised his rifle in the Roscoe’s direction. The robot suddenly lost communications.”
The suspect then fired at another robotic platform deployed at the scene and eventually surrendered to SWAT team members after they deployed tear gas into the home. Via theatlasnews.co

On March 29, the BBC reported that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk released a statement warning European leaders and civilians alike that Europe is in a “Pre-War Era”. He added that war was “no longer a concept from the past”.
Tusk also warned that “We are living in the most critical moment since the end of the Second World War” and when asked about the possibility of a war, “literally any scenario is possible”.
Tusk’s sentiments echo those of the Baltic states, who have warned that Russia’s territorial ambitions might not stop at the Ukrainian border.
The Weimar Triangle, a regional alliance made up of Poland, Germany, and France, has recently vowed to help increase the flow of military aid into Ukraine.

IRGC commander Mohammad Reza Zahedi, one of the most senior leaders in the Quds Force, was killed today during an Israeli airstrike in #Damascus, #Syria, that targeted a consular annex directly next to the Iranian embassy, along with two other generals and other unidentified casualties.
Zahedi’s death comes as one of the most significant assassinations against the IRGC since the killing of Qassam Soleimani in 2020 by the #UnitedStates and marks a major escalation in tensions between #Israel and #Iran.
Iran has vowed a “harsh” response against Israel, which remains to be seen.
Two likely response measures are expected, however, such as Iranian missile strikes against Iraqi #Kurdistan or increased attacks against #American forces in the region by Iran-backed militia forces.
Iran has previously launched missiles against what it claims are “Israeli spy centers” in #Erbil in response to Israeli airstrikes targeting IRGC leadership. Kurdish officials have denied that Israeli intelligence operates in the city.
