Quote from my recent speech at the Kansas state capitol.
I’d actually argue against myself here if I didn’t have the full context of what I am meaning to say (I was under a 3 minute time constraint). I think the intent of government in a perfect world is to ensure our freedoms. Now I am fully convinced that the government, on all “sides”, is working to divide, distract, exploit, and disempower us.
I think it’s okay to speak to the government. I think there’s nuanced situations in which it’s necessary to petition local government.
Most importantly though, is finding solutions outside of the government: Creating parallel systems, empowering others to be free now. We already have it, it’s inherent to us.
That’s the most important part of this quote: “we will be free either way.”
