“People are dying! I’m angry!”

Of course— I am too. But projecting that anger onto others, especially when they think our position is a “psyop”, won’t do anyone any good.

If your goal is to create an echo chamber of your position, speak the truth but attack, mock, belittle, call virtually anyone who doesn’t hold your position— even those who just genuinely haven’t fully explored it— a “gatekeeper.”

If your goal is to reach those who don’t understand your position, speak the truth with kindness, compassion, display an ability to empathize with those who don’t fully understand your position, and inspire curiosity and empower others.

Do you think you need to work on yourself to fix what’s wrong with you? Does it seem natural to be constantly improving your deficiencies?

What if there was a different way to view things? What if nothing is missing?

Our society is steeped in the perspective that humans are like technology. We need to upgrade ourselves with something external to have a better life. The self-improvement industry is booming, selling the missing pieces you need to finally become whole. But what if you already are?

We don’t look at an acorn and think “That’s a deficient oak tree. We need to fix it.” An acorn has everything that it needs to become that oak tree inside of it. With the right soil, light, and water the acorn will naturally become the oak tree.

What if we looked at ourselves through this lens? What conditions do we need to root into maturity? This is what Martin Heidegger calls “The Poetic Attunement”, and its the basis for the “Unfoldment” coaching paradigm.

In it, we seek goodness, truth and beauty for their own sake. There is nothing to fix. There is nothing missing.

How does life look from this perspective?

A friend of mine asked my thoughts on my Dr. Shiva interview. Here they are:

It was an interesting experience and I was laughing a lot. 😂

I think he’s a really brilliant guy who’s become very jaded. I don’t think he really believes he has the chance to win in 2024 at all (but maybe he does, because he thinks very highly of himself— I kinda get the vibe that he thinks he has everything figured out and no one else does). I won’t vote for anyone as I am a voluntaryist, but I’d rather see him in there than anyone else.

He will only speak of RFK as Boobie “Fucking” Kennedy (lol) and refers to Tucker Carlson as “Fucker Carlson.”

I personally think it’s best to refrain from using logical fallacies. I’ve always said when logical fallacies are used, it’s clear people don’t have a valid position, or at least don’t understand their position well enough to argue it— especially with repetitive ad hominems. And I’ve seen countless examples of people saying they’ve been “put off” from exploring the “no virus” position after seeing “no virus” people on Twitter and elsewhere behaving very belligerently (namely Bill Huston). Of course, these people were also likely convinced that it’s a “psyop” by the likes of Malone and McCullough, so I’m sure that paints their POV. So my personal take has always been one of being able to put myself in the shoes of those who have understandable cognitive dissonance/questions like “if not a virus how do you explain Sally getting sick right after Billy in daycare,” etc., etc.. I also just want to represent what I’d like to see more of in the world— boldly speaking truth, with love, but don’t fuck with me or I’ll fuck you up.

I think Shiva offers a valid argument for why it’s necessary to sometimes speak in an aggressive, divisive way. I won’t be doing it personally, but I totally see how that may be useful sometimes.

He also takes me saying “let’s be kind” as saying “let’s let people walk all over us.” Far from it. I know when to use anger, power, and force— just have it under control and only use it when necessary. 😉 (learned this after plenty of bar fights and shit— ask my wife).
