I don't have a dog in the Israel-Gaza fight. I don't have a 'side', per se.

What matters to me is what is right and what is wrong, and what caused the actions.

Nobody actually thinks it's fine that Hamas killed innocent Israelis. But it is also true that Hamas is a creation of Western and Israeli intel, and Hamas has been allowed to control Gaza for the long-term gain of Israel, exactly as we're seeing now.

It is also true that the Israeli government has treated the Palestinians unfairly for many years.

Hamas didn't suddenly - and for no reason - attack Israel. Russia didn't suddenly - and for no reason - attack Ukraine.

Once we can remove our propagandised blinkers and challenge what we think we know, and then try piece together the geopolitical, religious, and historical puzzle, we will begin to have greater insight.

The Israeli government has killed many thousands more than Hamas, and has flattened the homes of many innocent Palestinians, with the help of Anglo-American interests.

Israel doesn't want a two-state solution, as per the pre-1967 borders. It wants outright control and is gunning for it at all costs.

Is this right or wrong?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Jews are “the people of the light” and Palestinians are “the people of darkness” and promised to fulfil “the prophecy of Isaiah”.

The topic we’d intended to discuss is just too spicy, especially given the current events, and especially because I just received another YouTube strike (on a video with Troy Casey from 2 years ago).

PSA:

My purpose for inquiring about the Talmud was just that— to inquire in an attempt to know the truth. Is there additional context? Is it false? A misrepresentation? I genuinely want to know what it means.

I’ve gone back and forth with several people trying to discern whether Judaism, as some claim, is evil to its core, or whether there is simply a misinterpretation of the verses. It was a 100% genuine inquiry.

I’ve always taken Zionism to be a small subset of people posing as Jews while not actually practicing Judaism. Especially given the countless examples of Torah-following Orthodox Jews speaking out against Zionism and speaking out against the Israeli government in its treatment of Palestinians.

It was a genuine inquiry. It wasn’t meant to offend, sincerely. I’m trying to learn the truth.
