Stop Wasting Your Time ONLY Sharing Information on Facebook

This post about Vitamin D was shared in a Facebook Group 3 months ago. The Group has over 4,200 people - Facebook only showed the post to 258 people - that’s approx 6% of the people in the group. Some of my posts only reach 2% of the people in my groups. People join Facebook Groups thinking they will be informed every time the Admins send out important information. The truth is Facebook controls exactly what they want people to see in their groups and can delete the group in seconds if they don’t like what your group stands for. Start creating groups using uncensored platforms like Telegram.

Facebook also owns WhatsApp & Instagram and has already begun censoring videos on WhatsApp by preventing people from uploading videos it recognises contain information they don’t want you to share. WhatsApp also stops you forwarding messages to more than 5 people at a time. And after a message has been shared several times reduces that to 1 person at a time in an effort to slow down the sharing of information between people.

Telegram lets you create both Public and Private Groups. Users can keep their phone number secret (unlike WhatsApp that shows your phone number to every single person in the group). You can share files and videos upto 2GB in size which is 32 times larger than WhatsApp. There are optional automated bots on Telegram that can download YouTube, Twitter & Facebook videos automatically before they get deleted. You can also create voice chat rooms so like minded people can talk to each other. In the UK The NextDoor website is probably one of the biggest sources of fear and misinformation when it comes to COVID and Lockdowns.

The site is often used by people who are retired and happen to know how to get online - but what you often see is endless moaning about "Others" who do not wear a mask when they go shopping.

And so many people are just jumping at the bit to get the vaccine.

One of the biggest problems with the website is it's designed to share knowledge only locally. So people do not benefit from knowledge outside of the local area.

If you want to make a difference in your local community we'd recommend you join the website and help put out an alternative point of view. Backed up with real facts & figures which most of these fear mongering people seem to leave out.
