No mention of Grassley's letter to Wray that outlined all of the different ways Wray had lied and worked to skirt Congressional Oversight.
Multiple videos of Wray saying under his leadership the FBI is Independent.

As I held these two thoughts in my head, another thought occurred to me. Because of Wray's insistence, over and over through the years, that the FBI is "Independent," did he mean "Independent" from not just the Executive Branch, but also from Congressional Oversight?

I think that is exactly what he meant, tbh. That the FBI is separate and different, and doesn't need any oversight from anyone.
