BREAKING: President Trump announces that the planned 25% tariff with Mexico has been suspended for one month following a call with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. Mexico has agreed to place 10,000 soldiers on the border to stop drugs and migrants while negotiations continue.

Canada should look to the pause in tariffs with Mexico as a model. Stop the invasion. Stop the drug trade. Put increased security across the border and then we'll make a deal on trade.

But Canada would do well to remember that their economy is far more dependent on America. We can live without Canadian imports. Can Candada live without exports to America?

This will not end well for Canada if they don't make real concessions.

Funny to see so many people in America waving Mexican flags yet they get really mad when you send them back there.

Vice President Vance in East Palestine, OH on the 2nd Anniversary of the train derailment:

JD Vance is in East Palestine, Ohio today. And with that, the story of the 2024 Trump campaign comes full circle.

It's not remembered much now, but Trump's third presidential campaign got off to a slow start. He held only a single event in his first three months.

But then, everything changed after a Norfolk Southern train hauling toxic chemicals derailed in East Palestine, Ohio on February 3, 2023. Emergency responders, acting on EPA advice, conducted a controlled burn of vinyl chloride, a severe carcinogen.

Locals said that their pets and livestock had fallen ill or died after smelling the burning chemicals. Some said they had become ill themselves. Some said they'd received visits from Norfolk Southern officials, who offered to scan their homes for toxins...but only if they signed away their right to sue the company.

It was everything that originally motivated the Trump movement: A declining, forgotten middle-American town. Callous corporate power. Government ineptitude. An avoidable disaster devastating a part of America Washington prefers to not think about.

Trump traveled to East Palestine, and the visit was such a success it became the template for his entire campaign. Trump can give great speeches and holds amazing rallies, but he’s at his absolute best when he’s simply interacting face-to-face with regular working American men and women. Trump buying McDonalds for the city’s first responders became the first viral moment of his campaign…and would culminate 20 months later when he donned a McDonalds apron himself to work a shift.

East Palestine gave the Trump campaign life, and showed us all how it could win in 2024.

And of course, who was escorting Trump around the town? Ohio’s newly-elected senator, J.D. Vance, who himself hailed from a town much like East Palestine. The East Palestine visit immediately marked Vance as a rising star for MAGA – and now, two years later, he returns as Trump’s new vice president.

The forgotten Americans will no longer be forgotten.
