ICYMI: A federal judge on Monday declined to dissolve a preliminary injunction she issued in the wake of the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots that restricts the Los Angeles Police Department’s use of less-lethal weapons during violence protests.

Senior U.S. District Judge Consuelo Marshall didn’t issue a ruling on a separate request by BLM LA to hold the city in contempt for violating her preliminary injunction during the "recent protests" against immigration raids in the city, where the organization claims police shot rioters in the head, back and groin with so-called kinetic impact projectiles.
