1. I have heard from intelligence officers, FBI agents, analysts & officers w/ the Central Intelligence Agency, people within JSOC, and politicians all telling me that ‘FISA is critical to our national security. It helps root out spies & it catches & prevents terrorist attacks.’

Its been told to me ‘we cannot protect our country & do these things without those vital tools.’

But as i kept hearing that, i have always questioned it. The questions only grew louder as time has gone by. I’d like to share what’s on my mind, what I’m thinking. Grab a drink, and settle in. Let’s discuss it.

2. The claim is that FISA, and patriot act, et all make us *safer*. Safer HOW...? What are the tangible results? Those who support the programs (many of whom are the ones abusing them) will say ‘well we cant tell you that, its classified’. I’ve heard this excuse many times. So its clear from the beginning we cant examine the alleged successes.

3. It seems strange, asking 330 million Americans to give up or give tools to the Govt to violate their 4th & 5th amendment rights by telling us ‘hey, just trust us! These tools & us are all that stands between you common folk and The Darkness our THERE.’

That’s a hard sell for me. Remember, as someone who’s lived in that world it really wasnt how we caught bad guys. Good solid investigative work was what i saw work.

4. So i began thinking about this years and years ago. Then 9-11 happened & i bought into the lies it was to ‘make us safer’ just like shutting down America right now for this china virus. Amazing how that excuse coupled w/ an overhyped fear creating event is always the combination used to strip rights & for government to go full on Totalitarianism.

5. As i spent time working with the community i noticed that what worked was good investigative methods, sharing intelligence & dogged determination. What didnt work was depending on tech to do the work for us.

Bin Laden was found by a tenacious, smart, dogged investigator who tracked people the hard way.

6. What i became more and more aware of were the failures.

I saw failure after failure of these freedom destroying programs pile up.

7. Lets examine some of those failures.
FISA failed to stop:

Aldrich Ames- the worst CIA spy in US History who gave up nearly every agent in russia the US had recruited & much more.

Johnny Walker- US Navy sailor giving russia near real time data on where all our submarines were including our missile subs

Johnny Walker’s son- who as a team w his father gave up the classified crypto comms to the soviets/russians

Jonathan Pollard- a highly damaging spy mossad ran in the US Naval Intelligence

FBI Supervisory Special Agent in the Counter Intelligence Division Robert Hanssen- he gave up many of the same assets as Ames, & our continuity of govt plan and much more. And he had full access to FISA himself.

8. Ok, so clearly FISA, patriot act, et all really sucks at catching spies. Yeah. established.

What *else* did it fail at? Terrorism.

FISA failed to detect & prevent:

1st World Trade Center Bombing, by Ramzi Yousef.

The Atlanta Olympics bombing.

The attack on the Khobar Towers.

The attack on the USS Cole.

The twin attacks on Dar-es-salam & Tanzania US embassies. Fun fact, who led that FBI investigation? Mccabe

Sept 11 attacks.

Boston Marathon bombing.

All cases that had external foreign connections that didn’t get caught or acted on.

Fun Fact: Ramzi Yousef is the nephew of the 9-11 planner Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Kind of stunning how FISA didnt help stop that.

9. So what good *is* FISA, then? We had rumblings of what its real purpose was earlier on.

11. But thats just the middle of the story. Theres a beginning to it too. But more to flesh out in the part where i woke up: in the middle.

It would be a real coup if the CIA could obtain blackmail material on those charged with overseeing it & its operations, wouldnt it? Blackmail material to influence key committee members & shape votes, deter investigations, or have controlled assets inside those investigations. To have control of the very oversight body.

12. There existed after 9-11 a group at NSA led by Bill Binney & Thomas Drake, who had successfully created a system that could track espionage & terror without violating Americans’ rights. The program was forcibly shut down by NSA Director Michael Hayden.

The Program Hayden substituted failed at its key task & was violating civil rights en masse.

The Thin Thread team went to congress. NSA & FBI arrested them & put them on trial & threatened congressmen & staffers.

15. But he has *NEVER* adequately addressed how far beyond the bounds of law it went, and how he had to use the FBI to silence anyone who spoke out about it.

16. Now fast forward to today, and all we know about #spygate #obamagate #FISAabuse #702queryabuse #unmasking #leaking & frame ups like was done to General Flynn.

Think about why the Republican head of the Senate oversight committee that was spied on by a Democrat President & his CIA director might kowtow & give defacto control to the ranking Democrat who was a part of #spygate -

Think about people like Lindsey Graham who never do anything but talk about doing things: why might Graham be reticent to follow through? Could these people be controlled via blackmail? Spying on Americans is a powerful tool.

Think about how Chief Justice Roberts reversed his no vote 1/2 hr before the vote on whether obamacare was legal.

Think about John Carlin, obama’s DOJ NATSEC Division head certifying all the FISA warrants and apps from 2015 & 2016 while they were lying to FISC to spy on Carter Page & the entire trump team.

Think about who’s names are on those FISA applications- Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Yates.

People with a documented history of abusing their power.

17. The hard fact is, its been used to control Presidents since after Reagan, by unscrupulous power hungry deep state players who are lawless & think they are too powerful to be held accountable.
