Back in the 2000s and 2010s psychologists began looking at video games as a cause of dissociative experiences and failures in negative emotion loops. Reading this makes me think this is happening again on a grander scale. In addition, unlike video game companies who are just a small fish in a large pond, now you got AI companies who are larger fish helmed by people who were never mentally stable to begin with. Dissociation and disinformation go hand in hand, which if universities and companies wanted to get brave and step up to the plate, you’ll find a correlation that also causes the AI models to be wildly inaccurate while also being as addictive to use as drugs.
