Comment: While I applaud the Republican National Committee for their decision to 'aggressively engage' with state and local officials to clean up voter rolls and processes for the 2022 and 2024 elections, it is definitely a case of only one hand clapping.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel "argued that 'what we saw this past election – states undoing important safeguards, bypassing the proper legislative processes, and changing election laws in the eleventh hour – was deeply troubling and brought chaos and uncertainty to our sacred democratic processes.'"
So, Ms. McDaniel, let's get this straight. You just said states' actions 'brought chaos and uncertainty' into the 2020 election process, but you are skipping ahead to 2022 and 2024.
This is a wave-off and abrogation of responsibility. Your lack of concern - for the illegalities and irregularities, for the outright fraud, and for the stealing of the 2020 election - is a tell. The national committee has lost its focus, and has forfeited its right to lead.
The way to fix 2022 and 2024 starts with properly bringing 2020 to the attention of the American people, in each state where Republicans can muster the votes to audit the actual vote. Audits should be done to compare the votes tabulated by machines with the actual vote totals.
Three states come to mind immediately: New Hampshire, where Windham may be indicative of statewide vote tabulation irregularities, Arizona, and Texas, the latter two with close enough contests to invite shenanigans that might be indicated in voting machine issues. All have Republican majorities in their legislatures.
The RNC should lead the charge to convince these state legislatures to forensically audit their votes under RNC and DNC supervision.
I agree with Ms. McDaniel, "Voters are watching." And their memories are long.
