The AZ state Legislature just passed a bill criminalizing the mass mailing of ballots by election officials.
Rep Jake Hoffman: “What HB2972 does is it bans mass mailing of early ballots to voters who didn’t request them, and importantly, it adds a class 5 felony for doing so. Because if a County Recorder or election official decides to go rogue and mass mail ballots in willful violation of the law, there should be a stiff penalty.”
