FYI US Senate Update
*Few are reporting on this because it just happened and it is not clearly understood. I will try to be as succinct as I can:
-Senate Parliamentarian Rules against Democrat caucus re Filibuster, effectively stopping Biden agenda.
-The question from Dems was re Budget Reconciliation, which they insisted weeks ago, would allow them to bypass the filibuster and pass the Infrastructure Bill, along with other far-left proposals.
-The Parliamentarian said Friday (published today) the Majority can use Budget Reconciliation, twice a year, but only for taxes and budget issues and NOT to "avoid the filibuster of normal legislation".
-The ruling also said Congress would have to start over if it wished to change rules, and repass through committees any legislation, including amendments, which would take months.
-This ruling essentially defeats HR1, the ProAct, and much of what is included in the current Infrastructure Bill.
-The last time a Parliamentarian was overruled by a VP was in 1975. Dems could technically overrule her, but that is extremely unlikely because Manchin, Simena, and probably Kelly and even Feinstein, would vote with Rs in protest.
-Alternately, Dems could nuke the filibuster, but that would require 51 votes, and again Manchin and Simena are "No" votes.
-I projected all this back in March on Episode 005 of my podcast Maximus Uncensored https://rumble.com/vew9kd--ms-ucsd-ep-005-h.r.-1-gun-control-amnesty-border-crisis-and-trump-2.0.html ...so, it seems that I was right...again.
