Journalists are told to pursue a story and supposedly they are going where the facts take them. What happens when the facts they are finding are taking them in the 'wrong' direction?

From the hints Hecker has dropped in the statements I've seen, she pursued one or several stories, reported what people told her, and then her own station censured her for her reporting. The station managers apparently had a narrative and Hecker's report made that narrative look bad.

We’re they treated with merciless jail time and extreme charges? Trump supporters were practicing their right to protest. And were not violent. It was the FBI that infiltrated and caused a false flag for optics and fake narrative! We must demand Justice!!!

It continues to be stunning that not only are US journalists the leaders in demanding online censorship, they also are the ones who cheerlead most for Assange's imprisonment.

The guy was a volunteer on Bernie's campaign. The FBI's report on the baseball shooter found he was a big fan of Rachel Maddow and MSNBC. He also had a hit list of GOP members of Congress who he shot at after confirming who they were.
