For those asking about where former live Senator John McCain fits in all of this: McCain was used to give the FBI a supposedly 'neutral' or 'positive' path to getting the Steele Dossier. It would look bad if the FBI admitted they got it directly from Steele and Simpson, who were both paid dirty tricks operators working for the Hillary Clinton campaign.
