Things are dire in this country, but good people have stepped up to fight for the Constitution and our God given rights. We have become involved in politics, gotten involved locally, and begun to take initiative to change things- to bring this nation back from the brink and put it back in the hands of the people.

The entrenched power structure doesn’t like that. I’ve never witnessed a more disgusting display from supposed adults than the one I witnessed today at our SCGOP meeting. Supposed republicans acting no better than high school mean girls. It was embarrassing to share a room with these people.

If South Carolina is any indication, the establishment GOP in this country is more focused on their power and money than on issues that stand to tear the fabric of this nation. We aren’t going to let it happen.

If you witnessed what I did today, you too would be DISGUSTED.

FTA: As we have previously reported, journalist John Stossel is suing Facebook after Facebook’s ‘fact checkers’ labeled climate change information that Stossel posted as “false and misleading”. In the middle of all this is the nefarious website “Climate Feedback” which has a bunch of climate zealots that write up what they claim are “fact checks” for articles, videos, and news stories they disagree with.

Facebook just blew the “fact check” claim right out of the water in court.

In its response to Stossel’s defamation claim, Facebook responds on Page 2, Line 8 in the court document (download it below) that Facebook cannot be sued for defamation (which is making a false and harmful assertion) because its ‘fact checks’ are mere statements of opinion rather than factual assertions.

Opinions are not subject to defamation claims, while false assertions of fact can be subject to defamation. The quote in Facebook’s complaint is,

“The labels themselves are neither false nor defamatory; to the contrary, they constitute protected opinion.”

As i look at the damage in Mayfield & Dawson Springs, KY is how well the structures that were absolutely wiped off their foundations were built: some were undoubtedly old old brick construction buildings, especially in Mayfield, but many of the homes i see leveled in Dawson Springs appear to be new construction & built using modern more stringent building codes. If that’s the case this was at minimum a high end EF-4 on the enhanced Fujita scale. I wont rule out this one getting an EF-5 rating, but there is more than enough evidence to give this an EF-4 rating.

Ground scouring is almost always associated with EF-5 tornadoes.

Something i want you all to think about: mayfield is 70 miles away from dawson springs….I think the damage in BOTH places is high end EF-4 & in some spots EF-5. This tornado MAINTAINED that intensity throughout MOST of its 235 mile track.

That is simply terrifying. Especially at night, in the dark, when many people were asleep & groggy when woken up by sirens & trying to react.
