Sure out 'trustworthy government' would like us to believe the CPI is 8.6% (which is still terrible) and call that the 'inflation rate'....but it's a lie.

Not only do they leave out important costs of good increases that people feel in their pocketbooks every day but they also don't account for the depreciating asset (the USD) consumers use to pay for everything.

And it gets even better. The Govt has an interest in keeping the rate artificially low.

Why? It's simple really.

80,000,000 Americans rely on income from the Govt for things like:

✅ Social Security Benefits
✅ Food Stamp
✅ Military & Civil Service Retirees
✅ School Lunch Programs

The point being that the (faux) CPI rate correlates directly to how much they are obligated to spend on these income payments in order to keep pace with the cost of living.
