I think this was inevitable. The North Koreans goal was to stall for time & *appear* peace oriented- the real objective was to get sanctions lifted or lessened while they covertly pushed ahead with missile development & nuclear weapons development. The fact is, it was worth making an honest attempt at getting peace, but the deck was stacked against it from the beginning bc the reality is the North is still focused on oppression & war. I commend the admin for trying but the North just revealed its cards.
