One major reason Dems are united to shield CIA, FBI, DHS and NSA from investigative scrutiny is because the US Security State is wildly popular are among Dems, who recognize - accurately - that they're acting as their political allies, and thus fear transparency into them:

The reason it's been regarded as a very bad idea to go to war against nuclear-armed countries is they have nukes in part to deter but in part to use them if they feel existentially threatened.

For whatever reason, when it comes to Russia, people seem content to ignore this risk.

In *every American war over the last 25 years,* the WashPost Editorial Page has played the same role: not just cheering the war but demanding greater and greater escalation without end.

Still, its view that they/Biden can command Germany against its citizens' wishes is bizarre.

What POLITICO is doing here is as transparent as it is deceitful.

Even liberal corporate outlets - NYT, WP, CNN, CBS - now admit they authenticated the Biden laptop.

But POLITICO - the first to spread the lie - can't admit this or else they'd be forced to retract their story.

Before the 2020 election, numerous conservative journalists proved the laptop was real (that, of course, didn't count).

But now almost all of the media admit it.

Since POLITICO was the first through Natasha Bertrand to spread this CIA lie, they can never admit the truth.

Even more bizarre: a POLITICO reporter, Ben Schreckinger, wrote a book in 2021 with proof the Biden laptop was real, not "Russian disinformation."

Doesn't matter: the CIA's pre-election lies spread by the media was a historic journalistic scandal, so they can never admit it.
