Huaca Pucllana Pyramid in Lima, Peru
The Huaca Pucllana or Huaca Juliana is a large adobe pyramid in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru.
The pyramid is made up of seven staggered platforms and is about 22 meters high. It is over 500 meters long and 100 meters wide.
It served as an important ceremonial and administrative center for the development of the Lima culture, a society that developed on the Peruvian central coast between 200 AD and 700 AD.
Remains of the Wari culture (500-1000 AD) have also been found, which had a direct influence on the society of the Lima culture towards the end of its existence.
