Federal prosecutors have launched a new investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James.

This investigation focuses on her campaign's prior payments to her longtime hairdresser, Iyesata Marsh—who was indicted last month in Louisiana on federal charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft related to a vehicle purchase.

The probe centers on approximately $36,000 in total payments made by James' campaign to Marsh between May 2018 and February 2019, during James' successful reelection campaign.

The inquiry, first reported by The New York Times and CBS News, is in its early stages and involves federal prosecutors (including from the Western District of Louisiana and Northern District of New York) seeking to discuss past financial transactions between Marsh, James, and the campaign.

Air Force One was wheels down JBA at 8:36 pm. Final minutes of descent were quite bumpy.

POTUS came back at 7:19 pm for a 21 minute gaggle.

Some highlights: he’s been briefed hourly on Iran and leaders there have called to negotiate; he said the US would have Greenland “one way or another.” No details on what kind of deal he wants from Cuba.

Parts of the gaggle were very hard to hear over the noise of the plane. Please check play backs for those exact quotes.

Has Iran crossed a red line?

“Well, they’re starting to — it looks like it. There seems to be some people killed who weren’t supposed to be killed. These are violent — you can call them leaders, I don’t know if they’re leaders. I guess they rule with violence. But we’re looking at it very seriously, the military’s looking at it. And there’s a couple options.”

What options have you been briefed on?

“Are you asking me to say what will I do, where will I attack, when and what angle we’ll attack from?”

More on Iran:

“Some of the protesters were killed from all the stampeding, there were so many of them. And some were shot… I’m getting an hourly report and we’re going to make a determination.”

Will you go to Venezuela?

“I think at some point… Venezuela’s really working out well. We’re working along really well with the leadership. We’ll see how it all works out.”

POTUS said oil companies made commitments to him after Friday’s meeting, but declined to say which did make deals. He said he would keep Exxon “out of it” when it came to a deal because he “didn’t like their response. They’re playing too cute.”

What kind of deal are you looking for from Cuba?

“You’ll find out very soon. And one of the things I want taken care of — one of the groups I wanted taken care of are the people who can from Cuba… Most importantly right now we’re going to take care of the people who came from Cuba that aren’t American citizens who are in our country.”

Are you sending Starlink to Iran to help with internet blackouts?

“We’re going to be talking about that. We may get the internet going… I may speak to Elon, because as you know he’s very good at that kind of thing. He’s got a very good company. So I may speak to Elon Musk.”

Concerned with Iran targeting military and commercial bases if the U.S. strikes?

“If they do that we’ll consider things targets that they wouldn’t believe. If they do that we will hit them at levels that they’ve never been hit before.”

Think Iran takes threats seriously?

“I think so. Don’t you think so, CNN?… They’ve been going through it for years with me. Being hit — Solemani, Al Baghdadi, the Iran nuclear threat went down, don’t you think — then we just had Venezuela.… Wouldn’t you say they do after all of the things we’ve done?”

On Iran POTUS said “the leaders of Iran called” yesterday to negotiate. “We may have to act before a meeting. … A meeting is being set up. Iran called. They want to negotiate.”

POTUS said he’s named his board of peace for Gaza: “It’s the most important leaders of the most important nations. … Everybody wants to be on it.”

On Greenland: “If we don’t take Greenland, Russia or China will and I’m not letting that happen.

Asked if there is a deal Greenland can offer: “Sure I’d love to make a deal with them. It’s easier. One way or another we’re going to have Greenland.”

He said Greenland should make a deal and said their defense was “two dog sleds.”

Asked if he’d take the U.S. out of NATO: “NATO would be upset if I did it. It’d save a lot of money. I like NATO. I just wonder or not if we needed NATO if they’d be there for us. I’m not sure they will. You know we spend a lot of money on NATO. I’m not sure they would.”

On the situation in Minnesota: “Everyone seen it. The woman was violent. … We have to respect our law enforcement. At a very minimum that woman was very, very disrespectful to law-enforcement. You saw the same noises. You saw the same crunch that I saw. You can’t do that whether it’s police or ICE or border patrol or anyone else.”

More: “It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were nightly disrespectful. … They were harassing. … These are professional agitators and law enforcement should not be put in a position where they have to put up with this stuff. That woman and her friend and their other friends - what they were doing to law enforcement and not just ICE law enforcement - was outrageous.”

He was asked if ICE officers should have “absolute immunity” but pool could not make out his response over noise of the airplane.

On Tuesday’s Detroit trip: “We’re going to be making a trip to Detroit to talk about the unbelievable amount of factories that we’re opening up all around the country. … If we didn’t have tariffs we wouldn’t have them opening.”

“During advance sweeps of PBI airport, a suspicious object was discovered by USSS. A further investigation was warranted and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The motorcade took an unusual route to Palm Beach airport, making a circular route around town. Police motorcycles race along side.

The press vans moved so fast and were so close together that they almost crashed into each other during a slow down to make a turn, breaking hard to avoid a collision. The drivers of the press vans - before we left Mar-a-Lago - were instructed to “keep it tight.”

Air Force One - the 757 - was on the opposite side of the airport than it is usually located. The lights outside the plane were off as the motorcade arrived. POTUS was already going up the stairs as pool got out of its vans.
Per the TV unilateral crew AF1 moved to that different location on the tarmac at 5:39 pm. Take off - at 6:48 pm - was fast and steep. A Secret Service agent was on the plane’s phone during take off.
