The author associates the Zhou (周; Old Chinese *tiw) people with Indo-European invaders, based upon their use of bronze and chariot technology, as well as the presence of caucasoid remains in the enemy Shang's sacrificial burials. Another interesting piece of evidence is the Zhou worship of a Sky deity, Tiān (天), in contrast to the ulterior focus of neighbouring native Chinese religions.
