TIL in 1958, 14-year-old Cheryl Crane stabbed the boyfriend of her mother, Hollywood actress Lana Turner. He was physically abusive towards Turner during their relationship, and had threatened to kill her and her daughter; the homicide was deemed justifiable and Crane was cleared of wrongdoing.
