TIL Alfred Hitchcock originally didn't want music for the shower scene in the movie "Psycho". The film's music composer, Bernard Herrmann, asked him to listen to the music Herrmann had written for the scene. Hitchcock thought it really improved the scene and nearly doubled Herrmann's salary.
