TIL about the Speyer Wine Bottle. The oldest unopened bottle of wine in the world, it was found in a Roman tomb near Speyer, Germany and dates from c. 325 AD. Sealed with olive oil and wax, the wine inside the 1.5 liter bottle would degrade if exposed to the air.
