TIL over a 25-year period, a man named Tom Brown found & reclaimed about 1,200 "lost" apple varieties. His two-acre orchard, Heritage Apples, contains 700 of the rarest ones. Most of them haven’t been sold commercially for over a century and some were cloned from the last known trees of their kind.
