TIL Rastafarians believed Haille Selassie, then king of Ethiopia to be the second coming of Jesus. Selassie refuted this and publicly denied his immorality. Rastafarians took this as proof he was in fact Jesus. Selassie's subsequent death in 1975 resulted in a crisis of faith for many Rastafarians.

TIL as Lt. Dan Inouye was about to toss a grenade at a German machine gun nest, a Nazi shot his arm off with an RPG. Undaunted, Inouye pulled the live grenade from his severed hand, tossed it, put his gun in his left hand, then wiped out three machine gun nests and killed 25 Nazis on his own.

[TIL] that Isaac Wright (Bran on GOT) had to leave university after only 8 weeks because of all the attention he got. People had his flat address and his email address. He was even assigned a campus police officer at one point. When his then girlfriend came to visit they hid in his room for a week.
