TIL that Theranos employee Ian Gibbons killed himself to avoid being deposed and fired for disclosing company's false claims. His wife called the CEO to report his death but instead received an email from a Theranos lawyer requesting she immediately return the company laptop.

TIL that cashew trees are in the same family as poison ivy and poison sumac. They are usually sold shelled and roasted because if not, the shell oil may cause a skin reaction similar to poison ivy.

TIL that Texas still has a mutual combat law. This means that duelling is still legal according the Texas penal code. The law states that any two individuals who feel the need to fight can agree to mutual combat through a signed, verbal or implied communication and have at it (fists only, however).
