Today I learned about the great Joe Rollino. A Coney Island strongman who advocated for healthy living ahead of his time. Bent a quarter on his 103rd birthday - using his teeth. He died at age 104 when he was hit by a minivan during one of his daily walks in Brooklyn.

TIL that in WWII, John T. "Mike" Wolf joined the navy to become a pilot. Even though he had poor eyesight, he passed his physical when the doctor got distracted and forgot to give him the eye exam. Lt. Wolf went on to become a highly decorated fighter pilot ace, shooting down 7 Japanese planes.
