Kyiv blocks accounts of those evacuated to Russia — they lose all their life savings

Ukraine has blocked the bank accounts and cards of its citizens who fled from the Kyiv regime to Russia, Russian human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has said. Many of them have lost their lifelong savings.

"Their Ukrainian cards are blocked, and they cannot withdraw their own money — salaries, pensions, savings — from the banks," Moskalkova said.

Now, she said, the issue of hryvnias is also acute — many refugees do not have enough money they brought with them, and it is hard to change Ukrainian currency in Russian banks now.

President Vladimir Putin’s expanding war effort appears to be lifting Russian industrial production, helping his economy outperform many of the worst forecasts amid sanctions.

The secrecy surrounding the manufacture of military hardware hasn’t fully obscured the impact it’s starting to have on output. Production of “finished metal goods” -- a statistical line that besides items like cutlery includes weapons, bombs and various types of ammunition -- surged almost 30% in July from a year earlier after steep declines in the previous months.

A separate category called “other vehicles and equipment,” which alongside bicycles and similar products counts ships, planes and armor, is also among the biggest outperformers.

“Manufacturing would have performed much worse if not for the war,” said Tatiana Orlova at Oxford Economics.

🇧🇾🇺🇿Uzbekistan and Belarus have agreed to launch Agroexpress.

The decision to accelerate work on the project was announced by Presidents Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko at the SCO summit in Samarkand.

▪️Agroexpress is a service of Russian Railways Logistics and the Russian Export Center for the delivery of agricultural products to China, Turkey and CIS countries.

The project will become part of the North-South transport corridor.

"Rail transportation of agricultural products in comparison with other transport is profitable, fast and convenient," Natig Heydarov, head of Alliance Logistics LLC, said earlier.

▪️It will protect against global food inflation.

The first bilateral transportation of goods on the principle of a "green corridor" (without customs clearance) through Kazakhstan was launched in November-December 2021.

This is how the water in the Ingulets River in Krivoy Rog looks like now.

It had taken on an eerie blood-red hue.

It should be noted that according to the head of the OVA Alexander Vilkul, the situation in the city is fully controlled.
